Several contemporary artists have been invited to present their work on nature and landscape in Gustave Caillebotte»s open-air studio.
In the 11-hectare landscaped park—once frequented by Monet—nature is idealized and staged through architectural features such as ornamental follies, the footbridge, and the river…
Landscape, which emerged as an independent genre in the 15th century, remains highly valued by contemporary artists, who convey their own distinctive visions, sometimes diverging considerably from reality.
The selected artists, alongside Monet, maintain a special connection with the Maison Caillebotte.
Exhibited artists:
Claude Monet, with:
Ronan Barrot, Erik Desmazieres, Evi Keller, Youcef Korichi, Markus Lüpertz, Charlotte de Maupeou, Malgorzata Paszko and Jacques Truphemus.
